Bulk SMS covers one-way messaging from a provider to end users — usually marketing messages that are free for the recipient. IPT offers three modes: the provider sends via IPT SMS web services from its own app; the provider uses the IPT SMS Control Panel to send to groups, define templates and track statistics; or the provider delivers the data to IPT electronically. Senders can appear as short codes or an alphanumeric string up to 11 characters.
